Marina Federico is researcher in law at the University of Naples “Parthenope”, and fellow of the European Civil Justice Centre, Rotterdam. In 2024, she achieved her doctorate in “Law, Market and Person” “summa cum laude” at the University of Venice “Ca’ Foscari”, where she was also adjunct professor and post-doc fellow. Marina held visiting scholar positions at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (2024) and the digital policies unit of the Members’ Research Service of the European Parliament (2024). She is the winner of a Fulbright Scholarship and was Resident Fellow at the Information Society Project Center of Yale Law School (2023). Marina is the author of various publications, including a monograph, titled “Protezione dei dati personali e tutela collettiva. Itinerari di comparazione tra Europa e Stati Uniti”, dedicated to the collective enforcement of data protection, awarded the “2025 debut monograph” prize by the Italian Foundation “Istituto Irti per gli Studi Giuridici”. Her research interests lie in private, European and comparative law, focusing on the law of the person and the law of remedies.
