Dr. Florian Scholz-Berger is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Procedure at the University of Vienna, holding a tenure-track position specialising in International Dispute Resolution. He earned his PhD in law with distinction from the University of Vienna in 2017 and has held pre- and post-doctoral positions at both the University of Vienna and the University of Zurich, focusing on international civil procedure and comparative law. Currently, he leads the research project « Organisation and Design of Collective Redress », funded by the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, where he and his team explore key issues surrounding European and national collective redress mechanisms. Prof. Scholz-Berger has published extensively in the field of private law and civil procedure law, focusing on topics such as European insolvency law, European, national and international civil procedure and collective redress.
